Business Development & Marketing Specialist
Jazmyn Blockson has recently joined Campus District, Inc. as a shared employee through a collaboration with Downtown Cleveland Alliance. As the business development and marketing specialist, Jazmyn is working to identify new development opportunities for existing properties in the Campus District. She also focuses on filling street-level gaps that connect nodes of activity and attracting jobs and innovative businesses to occupy vacant retail and office space.
In addition to tenant retention and attraction strategies, Jazmyn is spearheading advocacy for the Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit Program. Furthermore, her previous work for U.S. Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge has provided her with valuable experience to advocate for the State and Federal Historic Preservation Tax Incentives Programs.
Jazmyn, a native of Cleveland Heights, graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications and Public Affairs Journalism. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in urban studies with a specialization in real estate and economic development at Cleveland State University.
