Tri-C Students Build Robot for CPD For RNC
The Cleveland Police Department now has a new tool in their toolbox created specifically in preparation for the Republican National Convention. The tool is a specialized “spybot” or scouting robot built by Cuyahoga Community College students, which allows for police officers on the Bomb Squad to remotely view and assess potentially dangerous areas. The device was designed with officer input, placing a higher focus on surveillance, and is now capable of being more easily deployed and surveying potential threats much faster than the Department’s former model.
