Joe Goode is heralded for his innovative ability to combine movement with spoken words, music and visual imagery to create stunning contemporary dance theater. His latest work, “The Rambler,” examines the lone cowboy-wanderer who appears throughout American history – but whose roots run deep in cultures throughout the world. A master storyteller, Goode gets to the core of our humanity with classic wit and peerless choreography. He has received numerous accolades, including the New York Dance and Performance Award [Bessie] and the Isadora Duncan Dance Awards (Izzies). Funded in part by the New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Dance Project, with lead funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and additional funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Community Connections Fund of the MetLife Foundation, and the Boeing Company Charitable Trust.
