Rachel Oscar – Campus District Director of Programming and Community Engagement

This past summer, Rachel Oscar had served as the Interim Community Organizer, coordinating ongoing projects throughout the summer while Campus District rehires for the position. Rachel has been officially hired on as the Director of Programming and Community Engagement. The previous community organizer, Kaela Geschke, currently works at Neighborhood Connections next month.

Rachel recently completed her Masters of Urban Planning and Development from Cleveland State's Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs.  During her studies, Rachel thoroughly enjoyed her participation in the Cleveland State Chapter of the American Planning Association as their secretary. Rachel graduated from Kenyon College in 2011 with a BA in history and before returning to graduate school she worked for a philanthropy affinity group called Grassroots Grantmakers and Case Western Reserve University. Rachel loves hiking and in the summer of 2016 hiked the John Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevada’s. She is really looking forward to getting to know the residents, business owners, and community members in the Campus District! She can be reached at (216) 870-7156 or
