Groundbreaking for New Mixed-Income Housing the in Southern Campus District
Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority celebrated the groundbreaking of their new housing development in partnership with the Pennrose and Ralph A. Falbo companies last Friday, January 29th. CMHA residents and staff, public officials, and many community stakeholders celebrated the historic moment. The event kicked off with a rendition of “It’s Been A Long Time Coming” by CMHA Voices, which resonated with the audience and the speakers who carried the theme in remarks that followed. The 15-acre residential project, started construction in January. It will include a new apartment building with ground floor retail and community space at East 30th and Community College Avenue, and new mixed-income townhouses to be built on two new streets between Community College and Central Avenue.
